In the past many organisations have done research in this field which has been very beneficial to developing the field of youth entrepreneurship. We feel by forming an alliance between various NGO’s in the Netherlands and abroad, and using the will and expertise of Masters students based at amongst others the University of Amsterdam (UVA) and the Vrije University (VU) in Amsterdam that we can add to this existing research, with the goal of identifying what the remaining issues are and mapping the existing resources to ensure that all actors in the field of youth entrepreneurship can access the most relevant information.
We feel that compiling this mapping of resources will make the research we plan to perform complimentary to already existing research in the field, and thus hopefully to focus on fields of youth entrepreneurship that have not yet been clearly developed.
By conducting academic research and relating this to existing research, we will be able to create a more coherent and easy-to-use structure (or value chain) which will make it easier to apply the knowledge accrued through research into a practical framework which can be used by all actors.
